In a concerted effort to support the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) net-zero by 2050 initiative, Zeroe, a leading provider of AI-powered carbon management solutions, has signed the UAE Climate-Responsible Companies Pledge joining 27 other companies. This pledge signifies the Zeroe’s commitment to aggressively target low to no carbon emissions across its operations, integrating carbon impact considerations alongside financial metrics in all business decisions.
The pledge was signed at the 10th National Climate Ambition Dialogue. The event, held at Emirates Steel Arkan, was presided over by HE Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and the Environment and attended by representatives from over 150 of the largest manufacturing companies in the country.
Commenting on the signing, Farouk Jivani – CEO and Founder of Zeroe said: “As a software company on a mission to support corporate decarbonization, we view the UAE’s Climate Responsible Companies Pledge as a critical initiative to mobilize the private sector against climate change. We’re thrilled to join the ranks of the 90 companies that have committed to this pledge to date, and we look forward to seeing this number grow exponentially in the lead up to COP28.”
Leveraging its pioneering AI-powered carbon management platform, Zeroe stands ready to help organizations overcome the challenges of transitioning to a net-zero future. The platform addresses common barriers such as fragmented emissions data, lack of expertise in setting achievable targets, and devising effective reduction strategies.
As part of the pledge, Zeroe has committed to a set of critical steps that will accelerate and deepen its contribution to the UAE Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative. These include net-zero ahead of 2050 and working with the public and private sectors to increase awareness around the importance of emissions disclosure and supporting organizations to tap sustainable finance to fund the transition to net-zero.
