Sulzer’s state-of-the-art service centres in Chennai and Vadodara are leading the way in providing advanced retrofit, repair, and service solutions for pumps, turbomachinery, and electromechanical equipment.
Catering to the oil and gas, power generation, and broader energy sectors, these facilities ensure the reliable and efficient performance of critical industries. By delivering innovative solutions that extend the lifecycles of existing equipment and modernise ageing infrastructure, the centres play a pivotal role in supporting India’s energy security and transition goals.
Strategically located in the Manjusar GIDC Industrial Hub in Gujarat, the Vadodara Service Centre (VSC) is Sulzer’s first facility in India equipped to support turbomachinery.
It offers refurbishment services for steam and gas turbines, process gas compressor repairs, and retrofits. The centre provides faster, more collaborative support with significantly improved response times and minimal equipment downtime.
This enables industries to modernise ageing equipment to meet new operational requirements without the need for entirely new systems.
The VSC leverages advanced 3D-scanning, CNC machining, and production technology for parts development, helping extend existing equipment’s lifecycle while supporting local customers in achieving their decarbonisation objectives.
Complementing the Vadodara facility, the Chennai Service Centre (CSC) offers specialised pump repairs, dynamic rotor balancing, precision measuring tools, and engineered services.
Located in southern India, home to the country’s second-largest industrial belt, the CSC ensures that customers in the region have access to cutting-edge maintenance and repair solutions.
Commitment to Sustainability and Efficiency
Unnadha Raja, Head of Sulzer Services, India, highlighted the significance of the expansion: “We specialise in advanced maintenance solutions to upgrade infrastructure efficiently and sustainably.
“By enhancing our ability to deliver comprehensive solutions quickly, we aim to reduce energy consumption and lower carbon footprints. This investment underscores our commitment to supporting India’s energy sectors and their transition towards a more sustainable future.”
Through these facilities, Sulzer is not only addressing the immediate needs of industries but also contributing to India’s long-term energy resilience and environmental goals.
