Millennium Welt, a partner for BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad, is teaming up with Gentari Malaysia, a clean energy solutions provider, to open the first EV Charging Flagship Store in Jalan Kuching. This store introduces a new concept for EV charging and is a significant step in BMW Group Malaysia’s commitment to developing the EV infrastructure in the country.
Jean-Phillipe Parain, Senior Vice President of Sales in Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa, stated that this flagship store, a first-of-its-kind in Southeast Asia, allows the simultaneous charging of multiple electric vehicles in a specialized store representing BMW Group brands.
Bryan Wong, Managing Director of Millennium Welt Group, sees this groundbreaking ceremony as the realization of their vision to redefine the future of mobility. The partnership with Gentari aims to create an immersive space where advanced technology is seamlessly integrated with sustainable solutions, offering a transformative experience for customers.
Shah Yang Razalli, Deputy CEO of Gentari & CEO of Gentari Green Mobility Sdn Bhd, expressed their commitment to enhancing the EV charging experience in Malaysia through this flagship store. It features 14 EV charging points, including high-speed 240kW and AC chargers, along with a vibrant experience hub for customers during charging.
The EV Charging Flagship Store boasts an expansive display area showcasing 66 electric vehicles, providing customers with a firsthand experience of future mobility. Additional services include a dedicated BMW Premium Selection showroom and Insurance Renewal Business, enhancing the overall electric mobility experience.
The store’s state-of-the-art infrastructure includes six units of 240kW DC Chargers and two units of 22kW AC Chargers, ensuring efficient charging for EV owners. The plan is to power the store entirely with renewable energy sources, showcasing a holistic approach to sustainable luxury.
