CelcomDigi Berhad (CelcomDigi) and Time dotCom (Time) today announced a collaboration that marks another milestone in CelcomDigi’s commitment to provide more home fibre connectivity options across the country, enabling convergence for Celcom and Digi subscribers.
Under the collaboration, CelcomDigi will leverage on Time’s fibre broadband infrastructure to extend its CelcomDigi fibre offerings to more Malaysians, especially those residing in condominiums and apartments. CelcomDigi customers can enjoy great benefits such as high-speed broadband of up to 1Gbps, high upload speeds with Time’s symmetric downlink and uplink speed offering and faster fibre installation.
By leveraging on existing infrastructure, a collaboration such as this allows CelcomDigi to offer plans with fibre that complements customer experience, as a one-stop for total connectivity needs. This collaboration also enables CelcomDigi to quickly rollout Internet services in a more cost-efficient manner, in line with the country’s digital aspirations.
Albern Murty, deputy CEO of CelcomDigi said the collaboration with Time is a strong start for CelcomDigi to expand its connectivity footprint for more Malaysians to enjoy a seamless and consistent internet experience in and outside the home. “Our customers can now have affordable convergence solutions for their Internet and lifestyle needs. There will be more future initiatives that will benefit Malaysians from our strategic partnership with Time.”
“We’ve made access to Time’s gig-speed network available to Internet service providers for some time now and we’re happy to support in delivering fast, consistent Internet connectivity to CelcomDigi customers. We believe gig-speed Internet should be made available to as many Malaysians as possible and we continue to expand our coverage across Malaysia to that end,” said Datuk Zainal Amanshah, executive director of Time.
