Tinergy Renewable Energy, a pioneering force in renewable energy solutions, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Santa New Energy and B2G Energies to establish cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) battery checking centers in Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Santa New Energy, a significant investment of Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd (CATL), the world’s leading battery provider, is renowned for its innovative EV battery technology.
Traditionally, EV batteries are not thoroughly checked during charging, leading to potential issues detected only when warning lights appear. The planned battery charging and checking centers, equipped with Santa New Energy’s state-of-the-art battery online detection technology, will offer complete and comprehensive battery assessments within a single charging process. This breakthrough technology eliminates the need to dismantle the vehicle or alter its strategy.
Tinergy Renewable Energy has also joined forces with B2G Energies, a prominent renewable energy company, to collaborate on low-carbon city solutions. Their partnership involves conducting feasibility studies, identifying suitable technologies, and establishing clear objectives to reduce carbon emissions, aligning with the Singapore Green Plan 2030’s objectives to phase out combustion car sales by 2030 and promote the adoption of EVs.
Garry Tay, Founder, and CEO of B2G Energies emphasized the importance of reliable EV battery checking facilities, stating, “Our collaboration with Tinergy Energies and Santa New Energy in bringing this facility to Singapore supports the Singapore Green Plan 2030, focusing on reducing carbon emissions and encouraging the adoption of EVs.”
Xue Kai Lei, Executive Director of Santa New Energy, highlighted their groundbreaking EV battery charging and checking system, which is fast, efficient, and cost-effective. The system, initially implemented in China’s low carbon park in Xiamen, integrates EV power battery technology research, battery big data analysis, battery checking, and new energy vehicle after-sales service.
Milo Zhang, Founder of Tinergy Renewable Energy, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of creating reliable EV charging infrastructure to boost EV adoption in the region. While EV adoption in Southeast Asia remains low, this collaboration aims to provide a dependable and user-friendly EV charging infrastructure that simultaneously assesses battery health, paving the way for increased EV adoption and aligning with the region’s net-zero targets.
