Co-organized by Constellar and the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC), the AtoZero (Accelerate to Net Zero) ASEAN at IGEM 2023 is a global series of events aimed at facilitating the transition to a net-zero future. This initiative focuses on fostering leadership dialogues, investments, and innovations that will drive ASEAN’s journey towards achieving net-zero emissions. Powered by Gentari, the Summit will assemble a distinguished group of individuals from across the entire net-zero value chain, including more than 100 policymakers, industry CEOs, and influential thinktank leaders, who will engage in discussions and partnerships involving 1,000 participating delegates.
AtoZero’s primary objective is to bring together key decision-makers and change-makers to comprehensively explore pathways, policies, and business opportunities that can advance the global net-zero transition agenda. AtoZero ASEAN will coincide with the 14th International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM), taking place from October 4th to 6th, 2023, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

A Stellar Line-up of Energy Leaders and High-Impact Topics Set the Stage for AtoZero ASEAN
YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, will address Malaysia’s progress on the path to net zero and opportunities for collaboration. TS Shamsul Bahar Mohd Nor, GCEO of MGTC, will elaborate on the organization’s role in supporting the national climate change agenda. Dato’ Ir Ts Abdul Razib Dawood, CEO of the Energy Commission, will present on ASEAN’s innovation and its outlook for the electrification of the future.

The Summit’s program provides unique insights across four key pillars of the net-zero value chain: renewables, hydrogen, carbon capture, as well as gas and LNG. The integrated program will cover critical topics such as regional interconnectivity partnerships, unlocking renewable energy opportunities through energy storage and digitalization, carbon capture, utilization, and storage in ASEAN’s transition, green energy financing, hydrogen economy, ASEAN’s future grid, and corporate net-zero transition pathways.

AtoZero ASEAN will be officially inaugurated alongside IGEM 2023 by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, during the opening ceremony on October 5th. IGEM 2023, organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change in collaboration with MGTC, carries the theme “Race Towards Net Zero: Leadership For Climate Action,” with ambitious targets of RM4 billion in business leads, 400 booths, and 40,000 visitors from over 40 countries.
