OGA, the premier trade event in Southeast Asia for the oil and gas sector, is poised to launch its 19th edition from 13-15 September, dedicated to catalysing business growth and harnessing opportunities from the energy transition in the Asia Pacific region.
With the countdown underway, Informa Markets Malaysia, the event organiser, has revealed that the Energy Industries Council (EIC) will join as the Conference Partner for the first time, taking charge of shaping the agenda on how the Asia Pacific can expedite low-carbon pathways and unlock fresh potentials within the energy sector.
OGA, a steadfast fixture in the industry since 1985, serves as a comprehensive platform for fostering business connections and networking opportunities across the entire energy value chain, while further solidifying Malaysia’s position as a pivotal oil and gas hub in the region.
Over three days, the event anticipates hosting 25,000 attendees from 52 countries, engaging with 2,000 exhibitors and brands across seven halls at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. International pavilions representing China, Germany, Italy, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States will add to the global dimension of the gathering.
Gen (Rtd) Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Panglima Mohd Azumi Mohamed, co-chairman of Informa Markets Malaysia, shared his optimism about the event’s impact on the industry, stating, “The significant presence of Malaysian OGSE companies is a positive signal that the local industry is rebounding after the Covid-19 pandemic. These companies are now better equipped to address the pressing challenges of energy transition and to explore new avenues for growth.”
OGA’s esteemed sponsors for this year include ABB, AEA Engineering, Aveva, Blast Abrasives Supply, EXS Synergy, HHA Associates, IRED, Italian Trade Agency, MATCOR, McDermott, TNF Energy, Torr Energy, Wellpro Group, and Yokogawa.
Taking center stage as the Conference Partner, EIC will uniquely host its annual EIC-Asia Pacific Energy Conversations alongside OGA for the first time in history. The three-day conference will also feature a Leadership Roundtable, fostering discussions around actionable strategies to make energy transition a tangible reality in the region.
The conference discussions, guided by 28 local and international speakers, will delve into the future of the oil and gas and energy industry in Asia. Specific focus will be directed towards decarbonization pathways, exploring methods to mitigate and adapt to the impacts of climate change.
